Derry marched for civil rights in 1968

Back in the late 60's early 70's I remember my father playing a song over and over trying to learn the lyrics.The chorus went:

Five hundred years, Five hundred years we suffered for our faith till Derry marched for civil rights in 1968.

Does anyone know the name of this song?
