a dutch friend of mine is in search of an irish song about a man at a crossroads who asks the wind to divide him into quarters, but the wind refuses, saying it is man's fate to live in a state of division anyway. the refrain has four lines, one for each corner of the compass, and each line ends with 'O'

can anyone help me find the text??
