Kerry Song Request please!

Hi friends, could someone perhaps assist me in tracking down the words of the following County Kerry song in Castleisland town in the county. I have only the following verses:

''Castleisland do dear to me; in that green valley I long to be.
Down by the maine I'd love to raom, in Castleisland my home sweet home.

I'm an exile, far far away; on foreign shore I draw my pay.
Each day I dream that day will come, when i'll be home when old songs are sung''

Thank you and god bless!

Eamon, Kerry

Hello Eamon,

This is from the woman who originally asked for your help in finding this song. I have found the words but still don't know who sang it. But for your records here are the lyrics. Thanks anyway for your help. Hope they will help someone else sometime.

Thank you

Marie Fleming

SWEET CASTLEISLAND

Sweet Castleisland, so dear to me
In that green valley I'd long to be
Down by the Maine I'd love to roam
In Castleisland, my home, sweet home

I'm an exile far, far away
On foreign shores I earn my pay
Each day I dream the day will come
That I'll be there when old songs are sung

Sweet Castleisland, so dear to me
In that green valley I'd long to be
Down by the Maine I'd love to roam
In Castleisland, my home, sweet home

Now the boat is waiting, I'm on my way
Back home to Kerry, that's where I'll stay
My ramblings over, no more I'll roam
From Castleisland my home, sweet home

Sweet Castleisland, so dear to me
In that green valley I'd long to be
Down by the Maine I'd love to roam
In Castleisland, my home, sweet home
