An irishman a Scotsman and a Hebrew

Hi all I have been searching for a song from my youth aruond 40 years ago with the opening lyrics being (and its not the start of a Joke) An irishman a Scotsman and a Hebrew. They were sentenced to be hung down Scotland way.....
Can any body help ???
